MUSE/IQUE’s Front Porch

Apr 9, 2014

moonsville_collective-1024x682-1“We all kind of found that our individual ideas were surpassed by our idea of playing music as a collective,” says Cory of Moonsville Collective.

Cory, along with members Ryan, Dan, Drew, and Seth will be performing at MUSE/IQUE‘s “Front/Porch” event at the Robert R. Blacker House on May 5th.

Early twentieth century architects Greene and Greene were revolutionary in creating the American house as renegade art, and across the coast, roots music of Appalachia began shaping the country in tunes that struck the core of our spirit.  From this, a cultural voice emerged, revived by Pete Seeger, and belonging to all Americans.  We honor these revolutionaries… (

“Get back to the roots music, ya know,” says Dan in response to what inspires their music. “Folk, bluegrass, anything that is just really the music of the people.”
