Twenty-five artists drawing simultaneously in four, one-hour shifts.
Watch art being created in real time.
One hundred artists are participating in Monster Drawing Rally hosted by Outpost@Armory. It’s an annual tradition begun in 2001 by Southern Exposure, a San Francisco-based, artist-centered, not-for-profit.
Maritza’s Restaurant will be providing tacos, while Craftsman Brewing Company is handling the beer. There will also be live music and kids drawing activities.
Completed artwork can be purchased for $75. So rally the troops, because that’s a monster deal. Proceeds will go directly towards future exhibitions and the continuation of Outpost for Contemporary Art. “Programs support the work of innovative, socially-engaged artists who utilize public spaces, temporary venues, and collaborative methods of production to foster intimate contact and genuine connection with their audiences.” Armory Center for the Arts and Outpost are pleased to have joined and are “currently exploring and developing an optimal framework for the partnership over the long term.” (Outpost-Art.org)
