Glendale’s 18-year-old classical repertory company, A Noise Within, continues its season with Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. Directed by Michael Murray (runs February 27 – May 21) this classic comedy concerns itself with the battle of the sexes between Beatrice and Benedick. (But the state of our local theaters are no laughing matter; A Noise Within has big plans to move to a brand-new theater in Pasadena in 2011.)
In our Hometown opinion, if we all don’t make “much ado” about the well-regarded A Noise Within, and other theaters like it (Boston Court, anyone?), we’ll soon have “nothing” in the way of quality regional theater: original, classic, or contemporary. And we’ll only have ourselves to blame.
Get a ticket or two in honor of Bill Shakespeare. (H
e was born in late April, so any time in the spring will do, and do much!)
