Robert_Nydam_1It’s all about color. Or as in the phonetic spelling of the word, /kuhl-er/.

Nearly two dozen San Gabriel Valley artists, including Barbi Taylor of Pasadena and Robert Nydam of Sierra Madre, have examined “the role color plays in art inspiration and interpretation.” The resulting works will be exhibited at Jones Coffee with an opening reception on April 30th.

The exhibition features “a mix of original pieces that convey whimsy, spontaneity, boldness and sensuality, and spark reflection on how color can influence the viewer’s experience.

“Produced from a variety of art mediums including acrylic and oil paintings, silkscreen and mixed media and representing realism, surrealism, expressionism and abstract art styles, the new collection is the latest in an ongoing series of events held at Jones Coffee Roasters, celebrating local artists and debuting their new art to the public.”
