Join Us in the Locker Room

Oct 28, 2014

billychilds3“Play is our way  of finding spontaneous happiness together…and all play is child’s play.”

So declares MUSE/IQUE, Pasadena’s “counter conventional orchestra” led by Rachael Worby who will be joining with 3-time Grammy Award-winner, composer, and pianist Billy Childs for “Childs Play.”

This evening celebrating the joy of jazz and featuring “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Hallelujah,” and “Sophisticated Lady” will be held in a locker room in the Rose Bowl. (The home team locker room, we hope.)

We will examine the revolutionary American idiom of jazz, in which structured rules and wild improvisation play together like the best of friends. (MUSE/IQUE)

The unusual venue is a part of the idea behind MUSE/IQUE’s Uncorked Series, where concert halls are improvised, adventure is key, the wine flows, and revelry is desired.
