It’s not easy to find out about the annual food and wine festival that supports Huntington Hospital (this year, the Center for Trauma Care) — there’s almost no promotion for it, and a web site doesn’t go up until tickets are almost sold out. And yet everyone seems to know about it, because it’s one of the hottest events of the year in Pasadena.
The 25th annual festival returns this year on Sunday to the parking lot between the Parkway Grill and Arroyo Chop House. Besides offering food from Gregg and Bob Smith’s restaurants (Arroyo Chop House, Parkway Grill, Café 140 and the new Cheval Blanc), you’re likely to be able to sample from such regulars as Gale’s, Marston’s and Maison Akira. The music is always great, the crowd is fun, and the cause is good. It typically sells out, so if you can’t get in this year, get on the list for next year.
