Boston Court maintains its commitment to exciting, contemporary theater with the Southern California premiere of How To Disappear Completely and Never Be Found, Fin Kennedy’s tale of a young executive who, his life coming unspooled, decides to “disappear.” He seeks advice from a seafront fortune teller, hallucinates a pathologist who tells him he’s already dead, and in general, from what we can gather, undergoes the kind of existential traumas that proliferate so rapidly in life’s liminal spaces.
The play has already hit Oregon, Australia, and Kennedy’s native England, where both The Guardian and The Independent said very nice things about it.
There may be something to this, there may not, but there’s a Radiohead song by the name of “How to Disappear Completely” that puts us in mind of the show. Looking forward to investigating that hunch.
