Every stage in life brings unique challenges, perhaps none more vexing than the ones that begin around the time the AARP card comes in the mail. Which is why those folks—in conjunction with Kaiser, the Pasadena Senior Center, the City of Pasadena, Right at Home, and the Royal Oaks Manor—have organized a free conference on the subject this Thursday at PazNaz. There will be workshops covering many different topics, including the impending effects of health care reform, looking for a job after 50, dating after 50, keeping the mind sharp and staving off Alzheimer’s, and Tai Chi, to name just a few. They’ll have more concrete advice, one hopes, than these historical luminaries.
The conference is free, though pre-registration is required (you can do so here or by calling the number below). Breakfast, lunch, and valet parking are all on the house.
