Elves’ Faire at Waldorf School
Kids may joust, ride the “Golden Ring,” and find their way through a rope maze. There will be puppet shows, live music, and storytelling. Families may dress in Elves’ Faire garments and pose for holiday pictures. The front lawn will be strewn with areas for creating treasures (hint: holiday gifts) and Medieval characters will be strolling the grounds.
The Waldorf School’s Elves’ Faire will also have a silent auction with donated and handmade gifts, while King Arthur’s Market is “a medieval outpost with handmade swords, shields, capes, and other beautifully crafted toys” for the adventurers on your holiday list. The Wishing Well is the school store that will be selling toys, art supplies, books, and gifts, while the Angel Room is “a magical place where children can do all of their holiday shopping with the aid of an Angel (a PWS eighth grader) who will watch over and guide them to special gifts for their loved ones.” The Doll Room will showcase handmade dolls and knitted animals created by the Waldorf community.
Bring your own cup or bottle and water is free at all the water stations. Tea and sweets may be found at the Tea Garden and home-baked treats will be sold at the Jack Frost Bake Shoppe (along with holiday ornaments and other gifts).
For $5 per ticket, you can enter to win a prize such as 7 nights in a beautiful villa on Oahu, a weekend at the Emerald Iguana Inn and dinner in Ojai, a hair cut by Emmy winner Tim Burke at the Lukaro Salon, a feng shui consultation, a hand analysis, and a feldenkrais session.
Admission is free, though Elves’ Faire tickets are used for games, crafts, and food (purchases made in the Doll Room may be made in cash, check, or credit card).
Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Waldorf School, 209 E. Mariposa St., Altadena
