What do you get when you put 600 artists on their hands and knees for two days? Why, you get  the Pasadena Chalk Festival: 175 chalk murals all over Paseo Colorado, a mall in need of a little color if there ever was one. In addition to the pro and semi-pro art making, kids will be able to get their faces painted and create complimentary Father’s Day cards in the Kids’ Chalkland. Ballots will be available for you to vote for your favorite, which, looking at photos from last year, doesn’t sound easy. The Chalk Festival benefits the community arts programs of the Light Bringer Project, the same band of funky do-gooders who make Doo Dah happen every year.
