That is the premise behind Lineage Performing Arts Center‘s Ceiling in the Floor production on November 2nd and 3rd.
The story is “explores the darkness of mental illness, unveiling an inspired, true story about two lives bound together through music and dance.”
Brandon Toh provides original music for this piece. In 2001, he is listed as the music behind Lineage’s Back to the Earth that “revisits instinctual rhythms, synthesizing spiritual intensity with passionate physicality.” His song Ceiling in the Floor is described on Broadjam as “sometimes the ghost chases you right up the walls.”
Artistic Director and Lineage founder (1999) Hilary Thomas’ work has been described as soulful with unique spatial configurations (L.A. Times), spare, deeply felt by dancers, intricate, subtle, gentle yet significant (Danceview Times), as well as quick, precise, and strong (Easy Reader).
Ceiling in the Floor is directed by Marisa Echeverria.
