We Pasadenans are constantly tempted by beautiful things. Some, like the Castle Green, are usually shielded from our prying eyes — but not this weekend! Sunday brings a rare opportunity to peek inside this historic landmark. Built as a hotel in 1898, the Castle is now a mix of condos and apartments occupied by a fascinating mix of people. On the tour you’ll get to see the Grand Salon, the Moorish and Turkish rooms, the Sunroom, the open-cage elevator, the bridge and some twenty apartments. Docents will be available, but you may walk the rooms at your own pace.
At least once in your life you have to experience the lavish beauty of the Castle Green, and this is your chance for the year.
