Ah, the Coffee Gallery, how we’ve missed you. And by missed you, we mean neglected you—not a mention since July! We’ve changed our ways, though—at least for this week—with a plug for this Saturday’s performance by Border Radio, an acoustic bluegrass/folk outfit that’s been stomping around Los Angeles off and on since the year 2000. They’re back after a hiatus of several years to rock out with their folk out. Singer Kelly McCune in particular, in addition to being a local mom and an occasional performer at Neighborhood Church, is very good. Give them a listen here.

Border Radio was fantastic last night at the C. G. Superb fiddling, beautiful vocals, great song list–all in that intimate setting. We are definitely going back in December.
