earthquakes2The Altadena’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) presents the third in a series of presentations on disaster preparedness on Thursday, March 13th. This free event is open to not only citizens of Altadena, but also the surrounding areas.

“When all your phones go down, we want you to have the tools to communicate.”

People are encouraged to bring their 2-way radios, and even batteries and the manual if help is needed to make it work. A hands-on demonstration for Family Radio Service (FRS), General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS), and HAM radios. Bring contact information and learn how to contact people out-of-state during an emergency.

“Our Radio Committee will present basic information on the possibilities we may face during a disaster:  earthquake, blackout, fire, etc.”
