All Your Cosmos Questions Answered

Jan 28, 2009

Well, maybe not all your questions, and maybe they’ll be more debated than answered, but at the Mysteries of the Cosmos presentation at Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium this Friday, you’ll hear such famously smart people as black-hole guru Andrea Ghez of UCLA, solar-system sleuth Mike Brown of Caltech, dark-energy lord Saul Perlmutter of Lawrence Berkleley Lab and planet hunter Debra Fischer of San Francisco State discuss and debate such issues as:

— What lies beyond our solar system?
— How do black holes affect the evolution of the universe?
— Is there life on other worlds?

You do not need to be an astrophysicist to be enthralled by this free evening — it’s designed for regular folks. It’s co-sponsored by DISCOVER, which will digitally record the event and post it on its website, in case you can’t attend.
