Harper Lee has written only one book in her 83 years, but it was enough for a lifetime — To Kill a Mockingbird is arguably one of the all-time great American novels. Lee has led a fascinating life as far out of sight as possible, but now Kerry Madden, the L.A.-based author of several children’s novels, has written a biography of Lee that’s both in-depth and middle-school-reader friendly. Madden will be talking about Harper Lee and signing books on Sunday at Vroman’s, and it’s sure to be worthwhile for Lee fans of all ages.
