Santa Anita officially opened Christmas Day in 1934. The Chandelier Room coined its name in 1947 after the chandeliers were purchased in the UK, shipped over to Santa Anita and installed to the then remodeled Turf Club. In 2013, Santa Anita embarked on a grand renovation project of the room, which focused on blending the room’s classic design and bold colors fashioned with today’s luxurious amenities and technology.
