Since the 1960s, Jouyssance and its parent organization, the Foundation of the Neo-Renaissance, have been dedicated to performing both familiar and obscure repertoire of the 14th through mid 17th centuries. Although primarily a vocal ensemble, Jouyssance often features performances and accompaniments by period instruments.
Sunday, January 12th, Jouyssance will continue its legacy of early music and perform “A Franco-Flemish Twelfth Night” at the Church of Angels in Pasadena.
Featured works will be from the 1400s through the late 16th century. “Jouyssance will perform music from Dufay through Sweelinck, including works by Josquin, Isaac, Johannes Ockeghem, Gombert, and Costeley.
