Sure, it’s an old chestnut, and you’ve seen it a few dozen (hundred?) times before… but you’ve probably never seen anything like the Parson’s Nose production we’re looking forward to this weekend. This witty, lively, remarkably talented theater troupe based in South Pasadena puts on staged readings at Jameson Brown Coffee Roaster on Allen. Like most Parson’s Nose productions, this Christmas Carol is a tightly edited version adapted by artistic director Lance Davis, and it’s sure to be zippy and entertaining. It’s family friendly, but they’re advising it best for 12 and up.
Not only that, but it’s free — and they even served free wine and coffee! The only catch is that you have to make reservations in advance. And only a Scrooge could refuse to make a donation when they genteelly pass the hat.
