Director Christina Harris’ adaption of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has “the old traditional English carols, dance, drama and merriment,” as well as all new staging, a more open set, and new sound design by award-winning John Zalewski.
This year’s production opens at The Sierra Madre Playhouse the evening after Thanksgiving, to be followed by only 15 more performances (through December 23rd).
For something completely different, how about mixing a classic Christmas tale with a wee bit of murder…
The Christmas shopping is all done and it’s too early to stuff the turkey. This is a good time to wind down, and we have the perfect way to do it—a comic murder mystery.
The Renaissance Players bring a whole new perspective to a classic. It starts out as the Christmas Carol we all know and love, but by the end of Act I, someone has been murdered. In the Renaissance mysteries, it’s up to you to determine who dunnit and why—and the funniest and most imaginative answer gets the prize! (SMP.org)
Just the thing to get you into the holiday spirit!
