Old Pasadena Film Festival Begins

Published: Monday, July 6th, 2009

We’d been checking in regularly with Old Pasadena Management to find out details of the annual movie screenings in the One Colorado courtyard, always a highlight of the summer. The folks there were late getting the schedule together, but it turns out it was for a very good reason: This summer the screenings have morphed into the Old Pasadena Film Festival, with more movies and locations. And as ever, all movies are free! Seats fill up,  so get there early.

Here’s what’s coming this weekend. Next week we’ll post the schedule for the following weekend. You can also go to oldpasadena.org for details.

Does one need to bring their own lawn chair to the outdoor movie?

  2. colleen says:

Yes, bring your own lawn chair — and picnic! Many people arrive an hour or more early to get a spot and enjoy a picnic supper.

  3. we provide chairs but I would suggest coming early. You can bring a picnic as well.

Sorry, I was thinking of the Levitt concerts! Yes, the One Colorado courtyard is usually well stocked with chairs.

How do you get up to the rooftop at the schoolhouse parking garage? Is it lots of steps? We have a granny with us who doesn’t do well on stairs.
