Ya gotta order 24 hours in advance, so if holiday shopping is definitively not on your weekend schedule because your Trojans or Bruins are calling you, and you’re so nervous you don’t trust yourself to hold a knife to slice a tomato let alone fire up the barbecue, Gus’ in South Pasadena is all ready ‘n waitin’ for your call.

Available only for this weekend’s USC versus UCLA game at the Rose Bowl, Gus’ is offering a feast to feed twelve amped and anxious fans.

2 1/2 racks of Memphis-style baby back or St. Louis ribs
3 whole BBQ brick chickens
3 pounds of either Carolina-style pulled pork or beer-braised Texas brisket
3 pounds of smoked sausage
Your choice of sides (4 quarts)
Cast of iron cornbread (dee-lish)

If you’re a USC fan, you’ll get a complimentary 12-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon and if you’re a UCLA fan, you’ll get a 12-pack of Coors Light (hmmm, that’s a toss-up for least exciting).

Cost: $199.95

Orders must be placed no later than 24 hours in advance—’cause that’s a lot of meat to get on the barbie.
