Founded by Cuban immigrants in the ‘60s, this huge, gleaming Glendale café and bakery displays a gorgeous and staggeringly diverse collection of goods, from the guava and cheese strudel called refugiado to Cuban bread to all-American cheesecake. Its ornate tiered wedding cakes are award-winners. Pick up your baked goods at lunchtime and you can also order a terrific Cuban sandwich.
