Lobsta, Jogasaki, Tornados & Lobos

Mar 30, 2015

Fire-CrackerPasadena Conservatory of Music has partnered with Jefferson Elementary School for over a decade, teaching the students in instrument and vocal performance. Recently, the school has been “on the road” to becoming a performing arts magnet school and PCM is now also providing instruction to fourth and fifth graders on guitar, drums, and recorders.

The Jefferson PTA has organized a Food Truck Night with proceeds to benefit this continuing and expanding partnership on Thursday, April 2nd.

Lobsta Truck with fresh Maine lobster and Dungeness crab will be on site, also warming patrons with lobster bisque and clam chowder.

Jogasaki Sushi Burrito has a unique take on traditional sushi rolls, while also serving ceviche tacos and spicy tuna nachos.

Christopher Kim’s Tornado Potato serves what it calls a “one-of-a-kind” spiral-cut potato (which is also called a “powerful product”) that comes with a sour cream and onion flavoring, though flavors change regularly. The Zucchini Tornado is said to be best when eaten with ranch dressing and the Sweet Tornado comes with cinnamon and sugar. There’s a truffle and garlic tornado, a Macho Tornado with chili and nacho cheese, the Sausage Tornado that has a choice of Polish beef, Hawaiian Portuguese pork, or Louisiana Cajun pork, and the Screwdriver, which is a Sausage Tornado with chili and nacho cheese. They look fun, they look messy; be prepared.

The Lobos Truck calls its products “kick ass comfort food.” The menu has Kobe and Angus beef burgers, baby back ribs, a barbecue chicken burger, and Angel or BBQ Wings Diablo (super hot).

Wachos are criss-cut fries with nacho toppings and there are waffle fries with Green Dragon sauce, guacamole, scallions and ranch dressing or Buffalo waffle fries tossed in Diablo or Angel sauce and served with blue cheese, bacon, scallions and ranch dressing.

“Bunny Food” is Lobos’ salad offerings, a “Sugar Rush” may be created by consuming a salted caramel bacon brownie, and the comfort of all comfort foods—macaroni and cheese—may be found at the Mac ‘n Cheese Bar with Buffalo Pig Mac, Spicy Mac, and Old Mac.
