Start your evening of fine dining at the 12,000 square foot Stratford Manor, a French Normandy estate situated on 4 acres in La Cañada-Flintridge that has a “woodsy backyard with several bridges” and “a breathtaking view of the San Gabriel Mountain Range.” Chat, enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, peruse the silent auction, raise your hand for the live auction items, then proceed to one of eight dining venues:
Viva Italiano! – Former Assemblymember Anthony Portantino and his wife welcome guests to a traditional Sunday Italian dinner, served on a Saturday. Maximum: 20 guests.
American Hustle – Hostess Marley Majcher of The Party Goddess! invites folks who want to throw on a few sparkles and dance the hustle (70s tunes), sip on “sexy” cocktails, and snack on “retro” delicacies to her Old Pasadena’s Catania condominium. Marley grew up in Pasadena, CA, the daughter of super sweet, smart, conservative parents who wanted to raise reasonable children. It worked with her brother. (ThePartyGoddess.com) Maximum: 25 guests.
Laughing the Night Away – Rustic Gourmet Catering chef Tanya Jackson will prepare a special dinner for hostess Liz Rusnak and her guests at The Ice House in Pasadena, followed by “some very special comedian guests.” Maximum: 80 guests.
La Hora Loca – Antonio Gallardo and Patrick Martin promise fabulous drag queens, a psychic, sexy servers, and a piano player at their bash in the Hollywood Hills. La Ventura restaurant owner Jeffrey Saad will prepare the delicacies. Maximum: 20 guests.
Star Light, Star Bright – Charlie Mustachia and David Courier open their Spanish Ranch in the Franklin Hills. Outdoor decks and soaring views. Maximum: 40 guests.
Cinco de Mayo Fiesta – A tequila “sipping bar,” a selection from the owner’s personal wine collection or your favorite margarita will be served while at Gordon and Arlene Mijares de Lang’s 1926 hacienda. Serenading troubadours will stroll the garden while guests dine on fare from Oaxaca and Jalisco “with a Pasadena infusion, of course.” Maximum: 20 guests.
Timeless Charm at The Raymond 1886 – Guests will sit on the south patio with its beautiful fireplace and be served a 4-course dinner created by Executive Chef Tim Guiltinan, along with hand-crafted cocktails. Maximum: 20 guests.
A Night on the Rocks – Hosts Michael Schlueter and Damon Dennis invite guests to their 1926 Spanish-style home in Eagle Rock. If imbibing and dining while viewing art nouveau, pop art, surrealism, and avante-garde works of art, then this is the place to be. Maximum: 30 guests.
