If there’s anything that makes us happier than a well-made cocktail, it’s a deal on said cocktail — so we’re happy to report that Old Pasadena is in the midst of its first-ever Happy Hour Week. Running from March 1 to 8, it brings together 19 restaurants and bars that have all promised to have unusually good deals for the week, from $1 martinis to $3 appetizer. A couple of venues are even throwing in live music.
Among the participants are such Hometown Pasadena favorites as Vertical Wine Bistro, Scarlet Tea Room, La Grande Orange, Lucky Baldwin’s and the Luggage Room; others include Villa Sorriso, Sushi Roku, 1810 Argentinean, Café Bizou, Café Santorini, the Point08 bar at redwhite+bluezz, Bar Celona and more.
Bargain dishes include truffled mac & cheese for $6 at Vertical Wine Bistro, calamari at Bar Celona for $5 and two-for-one Kobe beef sliders at Point08. Free music will include jazz on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the new Crème de la Crêpe (where crêpes, wine and beer will all cost a mere $3) and French singer-songwriter Jessica Fichot at POP Champagne and Dessert Bar on Sunday.
Check the website below for hours; some places, like Café Bizou and Vertical, have deals only during traditional happy-hour hours, while others, like the Otis Bar at La Grande Orange and the Equator Café, are offering specials in the afternoon, late evening, or even at prime dinner time.
