Captains-of-industry comfort food is served in a modern setting that would have put Henry Huntington at ease: white linens, etched glass, rich mahogany, Craftsman-influenced chairs and light fixtures, a discreet pianist. Prime steak is the specialty, and most of the time it is cooked as ordered; the New York strip is particularly good. Sides are simple and carefully prepared (asparagus, spinach with caramelized sweet onions, garlic mashed potatoes), drinks are mixed well, and if you have room for dessert (we never do), get the chocolate soufflé.
