ECHO PARK —  Will there be more musicians than fans during this year’s Echo Park Rising? The line-up for the four-day music festival, which kicks off today, Aug. 17, has ballooned to 460 acts at last count, say festival organizers.

Most of the acts are relatively unknown and some will only play 20-minute sets in venues ranging  from a large outdoor stage on Liberty Street to clubs like The Echo and Lot 1 as well as bars, cafes and shops.  Organizers expect at least 5,000 visitors a day to listen to live music and attend other events across the neighborhood.

The updated  lineup  released this week  includes headliners like Indie-electronic trio Hundred Waters and the influential jazz collective the West Coast Get Down Festival.
