Matt Hartman captured the above photo of tonight’s supermoon from Micheltorena Street in Silver Lake at about 8:30 p.m. Here, for you photo buffs, is the equipment he used to during tonight’s lunar photo shoot:
Canon 7D with a 300mm 2.8L with a 2x doubler and a vintage swift spotting scope from the late 60s with an Olympus digital pen body. Heavy duty video tripods with sand bags. Nero shutter motion triggers to follow the movements, and cable releases.
Even without a spotting scope or a tripod with sandbags, the supermoon was still a stunning sight to behold.
