Wine and Beer lovers rejoice! Libations have arrived at Silver Lake’s Night + Market Song. The Thai restaurant’s recently acquired beer and wine license has them starting slow, offering Singha and Beerlao beer as well as a mixture of whites and reds, writes LA Magazine. The restaurant will eventually add other items, like Mauvais Temps by Nicolas Carmarans.
In other Shopper & Diner news:
- And in case the wine choices at Night + Market Song don’t do it for you, Los Feliz will soon be welcoming a wine shop and tasting room from Lou Amdur, reports Eater LA. Called Lou Wine Shop & Tastings, the Hillhurst location will compliment his already existing Virgil Village locale, Provisions.
- Atwater Village is bringing the best of Beverly Hills fare to the Eastside with the opening of Alex Sarkissian’s second location of Momed. The LA Times notes the Mediterranean restaurant is currently only offering lunch service at its Atwater Crossing location, but will expand to dinner come August 4.
- We reported last month that The Daily Meal proclaimed that the country’s best burrito is served in East LA. That said, statistical guru Nate Silver and his so-called Burrito Bracket has just now named Boyle Heights’ restaurant Al and Bea’s Bean and Cheese Burrito the best in Los Angeles. LA Weekly reports that the simple neighborhood favorite bested a host of others with its “waterbed” contents. Sounds like a slippery proposition.
