Police are looking for suspects who shot one man multiple times during a drive-by shooting this afternoon in the southern edge of Echo Park.

The victim was transported to a hospital after being shot at about 4 p.m. near Temple and Firmin streets, said LAPD spokeswoman Sara Faden. No further details were available.

Today’s incident took place one day after another man was shot less than a mile away near Union Avenue and Beverly Boulevard in what may have been a gang-related shooting, Faden said. The victim was talking to his girlfriend when the suspect walked up and shot him twice. The victim was in stable condition, and  the suspect has not been apprehended.

It’s not clear whether the two shootings are connected, Faden said.
