Nov 1, 2013

News crews were parked outside tonight near the large Atwater Village apartment complex where Paul Anthony Ciancia, the alleged gunman in this morning’s deadly LAX shooting, had apparently been residing, according to the L.A. Times and other news reports.

One resident of the  apartments on Los Feliz Boulevard told the Times that a large group of officers had been at the complex earlier in the day. Meanwhile, the owner of the Morrison restaurant and bar next door to the apartment complex said the 23-year-old Ciancia has been to the bar several times. Marc Kreiner said to the Times:

“He was kind of a quiet guy, came in mostly by himself, and one time with a couple of guys.

A man identified as Ciancia,’s roommate told NBC4 that the  New Jersey native moved into the apartment earlier this year. “I would have never expected this,” said Ciancia’s roommate. “I am totally shocked.”
