An estimated 25,000 L.A. Marathon. runners are making their way through Echo Park and Silver Lake this morning on their 26.2-mile course to Santa Monica. More photos coming soon.

Update: Gebo Burka of Ethiopia was the first male runner to cross the finish line with a time of 2:10:37, according to the L.A. Marathon. Amane Gobena of Ethiopia won the women’s race at with an unofficial time of 2:27:40.
