BOYLE HEIGHTS — Federal and local authorities today announced that a reward of up to $100,000 is up for grabs to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of one or more of the suspects who threw Molotov cocktails at four apartments at the Ramona Gardens housing project.
The reward was announced as officials released a black-and-white surveillance video of the May 12 attacks that showed several persons crossing a pedestrian bridge into the housing project before igniting one of the devices off camera.
No one was injured in the attacks that appeared to have targeted the relatively few African American tenants in the predominately Latino community.
Anyone with information should call a tip-line established by the task force at 1-800-222-8477. Alternatively, anyone with information about this crime may text the letters TIPLA to 274637 (CRIMES) or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
