We follow the tune to its source—a trio of men strumming, picking and bowing, seated around a table in the front patio of Lucky Baldwin’s.
The table is littered with ignored napkins and utensils, a full water jug, and glasses of beer.
Mr. Thomas R. Carter is Professor of Architectural History at the University of Utah. He’s playing the banjo, sitting across from brothers Tom and Patrick Sauber.
A free mini-concert on a mid-week summer afternoon.
Left to right: Tom Carter, banjo; Tom Saaber, violin; and Patrick Sauber, acoustic guitar.
