The Affordable ART Act

Mar 10, 2015

Blue_Onion_Study_No_2_ValEchavarriaI’ve always believed that art is for everybody and is an important part of life.

I know from creating and exhibiting art for many years that there is an unfulfilled desire on the part of many people to own and collect artwork, but have thought that it is out of their budget. Many artists, like myself, accumulate sketches and works on paper that have not been exhibited or sold, but still have merit and would attract buyers if made available. It occurred to me that what is needed is a place where people can see and buy quality art within their budget and, in so doing, provide an alternative opportunity for artists to sell their unsold and/or uncommitted art.

To meet this need, I created The Affordable ART Act.

The mission is to 1) provide accessible and affordable quality artwork for anyone interested in buying art and 2) to support artists by providing an alternative option for them to sell their work.

You may purchase work through the website or at Casa Marengo Studio on every Second Saturday Gallery Night from 7-10 or by appointment.

I hope you will participate in my vision.

Accessible and affordable quality art for everybody; supporting artists and their art.

Val Echavarria’s Casa Marengo Studio is @ the Avenue 50 Studio complex, 131 N. Avenue 50, Highland Park 90042.
