Guy Fish

Mar 2, 2015

Guy_Fish-1When Hometown Pasadena contributor Karol Franks brought our attention to an opening reception for a local artist, we were all ears. Guy Fish is not only the Art Education Manager at the Huntington Library but a plein air painter. His exhibit “Fresh California” is a collection of works that will be exhibited throughout the month of March at Crain Art Gallery in San Marino.

Guy is a native Southern California and currently resides in Pasadena. He studied fine art at Otis and Art Center and earned a degree in History of Art from U.C. Berkeley.

A native to Southern California, Guy enjoys being in the fresh air and capturing landscapes and structures he’s loved since his youth. The challenge of working quickly to capture the light is especially gratifying. He primarily paints regional architecture, the San Gabriel Mountains and their surrounding neighborhoods, Catalina Island and the Pacific Coast. (GuyFishFineArt)
