Hey, All, we’re doing it again! New location just around the corner from Gallery at the End of the World. You can even take a trip down memory lane and be amazed at how small the old space was! Would love for you to drop by and see the new Gallery McGinty.
So speaks Ben McGinty who has returned to the role of shop keeper and gallery owner after a hiatus of some years.
Art Aids Art’s U.S. office is based in Altadena. “American activities focus on education the public about South Africa culture and the HIV/AIDS crisis…Each year, the organization leads an intergenerational group of volunteers to Cape Town to provide services through our own programs.” Programs in South Africa include building community centers, partnering with art collectives, teacher training programs, recording the stories of South African women, and their online store LovingAfrica.com.
Timothy Rutt of the Altadena Blog reports that “the roster of (the gallery’s) resident artists includes favorites Ashoka, Brian Dario, Eve Kessler, Evan Chambers, Kathy Swaydan, Ngene Mwaura, and Paulo of Fiesole.”
869 E. Mariposa St., Altadena
