Get Your Voice—and Words—Out There

You may not know I’m a voice actor. For a word lover like me it’s the best job ever! I have a home studio that looks like a giant Tardis in its PJs.

In September, I visited North Dakota for Anime Fargo. I didn’t see any desperate criminals (that I know of), just nice people who love anime.

What was I doing at an anime con? Some years ago I had the good fortune to voice the character of Ryoko (above) in what is now an anime classic, Tenchi Muyo!, and from time to time I get to mingle with the fans.

Getting your words out there.
In October I got my books out there at Art Night Pasadena. 70 authors filled the Pasadena Central Library. A big night! I love talking to people who love books.

The following weekend I got my story out there at the wonderful spoken word event, Personal SPACE, in South Pasadena. Writers, performers and other human beings share their stories in this quarterly evening sponsored by SPACE Arts Center and curated by author Karen Rizzo. Spoken word brings together my loves of performing and writing, and, of course, talking.

Coming in November:
Show up on November 28th at the Flintridge Bookstore and Coffeehouse in La Cañada, California for Small Business Saturday. I’ll be there from noon to 2 p.m. to say hello, sign books, and answer your questions about Story Kitchen, the writing workshop I’ll be co-leading at the store in the new year.

Mention Hometown Pasadena and receive $25 off when you sign up for Story Kitchen at Small Business Saturday.

I hope you get to spend Thanksgiving sharing stories around a convivial table with your favorite people.

My books are available on Your Amazon and Goodreads reviews are valuable!
